Wholly Grounds: Cozy Dayton Coffee House with Unique Drinks & Live Jazz

What an amazing place and atmosphere. Perfect vibe for the first coffee of the day or a place to relax and unwind. They offer coffee drinks for those coffee drinkers that like international and local favorite types of coffee drinks. Also they have some tasty baked goods too. The owners are extremely friendly. You can enjoy their back patio area as well as some comfortable deep cushion sofas and chairs. Finally they offer live jazz music on certain nights and they are working on getting some spoken word poetry nights too. My new favorite coffee house in Dayton.

Superb Coffee, Amazing Pastries, and Even Better company. The owners are wonderful people. I love the ever changing local arts. Atmosphere is fabulous. I couldn't ask for more in a Little Coffee Shop!

Late rating but I want to say that I love the PB&J latte!!! I love the lady that works here he is quick, super friendly, & works with you. I order a sandwich & when I was done I had to have another one. Seating is so comfortable & the atmosphere is calm. Will come back again for another cub of PB&J

I’ve visited Wholly Grounds a handful of times now. Each experience has been absolutely lovely. I’ve had ice lattes, hot drinks (mocha, chai) and teas. The barista‘s have all been kind and helpful when assisting me with what I should order. Now the indoor atmosphere is unmatched. Beautiful thriving plants, round tall tables with barstools and typical square ones along with cozy couches furnish the indoor space. It’s a nice place to have a coffee chat, do laptop work or even read a book! The porch area in the back is delightful as well with a great amount of shade and sun. I would definitely recommend to others

I ordered an iced espresso mocha and it was amazing. I also got a bagel sandwich which had delicious fresh tomatoes! Also lovely environment and service, can’t wait to come back :)

I never pass up an opportunity to visit a new place for the first time, so I'm glad this time wasn't any different! Amy at Wholly Grounds showed me instantly how this place gained popularity so quickly in Dayton community! The art work made the walls seem lively. The lighting was soft and mellow to balance out the heavy blaring of the city outside. The drink offers ranged from a stand out cup of basic black all the way up to a coffee lovers ideal favorites! They even had some things that I couldn’t imagine coming up with, but can’t wait to try!) Donuts, vegan cookies (chocolate chip) and Oatmeal Cream Pies, pastries and other tasty treats. I can tell this one will be a new favorite!

Nice ambiance to this coffee shop. A bit of a challenge getting to it from the hotel. The lattes were nice and on the hotter side, but a little disappointed in the taste - definitely using dark roast beans but the flavors didn't balance out like they should in a latte. Still recommend and maybe your taste buds will appreciate it more than mine.
